SHADOW IN THE BUSH, 2015

The Shadow In The Bush exhibition opened in the CQ Hotel on Cuba Street and was held at the Kiwi Art House Gallery in July 2015.

In this series, Heimler and Proc were inspired by New Zealand scenery and its ability to enchant people and provoke them to imagine or dream of what it was like before humans arrived. Shadow In The Bush is described as a dreamland - where you can dream of the past as well as the future.

In this series, Heimler and Proc’s goal was to create a new and global composition, where human figures are blended with trees. The paintings create a sense of continuity between man and nature, so that it is not clear where one ends and the other begins. Humans are constructed, while nature deconstructs. The simultaneous building and breaking of composition is a uniquely novel artistic idea.
